The candidate will join the Production Management Team within SecProd Application Management and will be specifically responsible for Technical writing and documentation. The primary responsibility is to create and update technical documentation for Securitized Products IT BTB and RTB teams, effectiveness and accuracy of current documentation. Be proactive in realizing maximum value from them through continual technical and business process improvement. There will be exposure to senior business and technology representatives and hence the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, and be able to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively. The candidate should have an IT background.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or IT personnel.
Confer with Securitized Products Business and front office, IT, Application management, Central IT, Operations to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.
Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding.
Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and details.
Become familiar with Securitized Products technologies and production methods.
Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail.
Arrange for typing, and distribution of material.
Analyze developments in specific area to determine need for revisions in previously published materials and development of new material.
Draw sketches to illustrate specified workflows or system sequence.
Proven experience writing documentation for FO applications in a global investment banking environment
Experience with ITIL concepts and best practices
Skills / Aptitude Required:
Strong technical writing skills with demonstrated ability to learn will be required in order to identify the trouble spots and suggest potential fixes
Ability to understand the business context and respond to users is more important over the in-depth technology skills
Ability to work under pressure and continue to prioritize and work on multiple projects and writing tasks
Process oriented and able to follow through on all issues raised by clients in a timely manner
Excellent client facing skills with a proven track record of building relationships with business and technology stakeholders at all levels.
Understanding of the investment banking business, Securitized Products knowledge, and the lifecycle of trade is advantageous
Must be a self starter and ability to work thru and prioritize deliverables
