This position is located in the District of Columbia, Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Management Information Systems. The Database Administrator (DBA) supplies a comprehensive range of data system administrative services for the Chief Information Officer.
The Database Administrator is responsible for managing and implementing and maintaining all the databases in use in the F&EMS Department. The candidate works with the heads of all Divisions in the Department to provide database support, creation, integration and maintenance. The candidate works with the application managers to design and implement databases that support the agency mission, goals and objectives.
The database administrator will support the data analysts to produce reports as needed to provide management with the necessary information to ensure programs and policies are effective. The candidate must have mastery level understanding and capability with online data distribution systems, digital networks, and data management operations.
